Well, wine and beer stains truly smell, and reek a putrid alcohol or vomit-laced scent. However, removing them from your prized home furnishings is actually quite easy. Here’s how to do beer and wine stain rug cleaning.
Quickly Remove the Blots
The first beer and wine stain sofa cleaning step would be to quickly remove or blot the stain using a paper towel or clean white cloth. Make sure you get as much liquid as you can, so that the staining agent will not have the chance to firmly set into the rug’s deeper fibers.
Spray a Vinegar-Cold Water Stain Removal Solution
To effectively remove wine and beer spills and stains from all types of carpeting variants, there’s a very potent and affordable solution that you could make using just vinegar and water. Mix 1/3 cup of vinegar with 2/3 cup of cold water. Thoroughly mix the tile cleaning solution and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray the mixture into the beer and wine stains twice or thrice, and wipe off or dry with paper towels. Repeat the spraying until the solution has been thoroughly used.
You could also remove smelly beer and wine pills and stains using unscented dish washing detergent. Using a white cloth, dab or pat the carpet stain removal mixture on the affected area, and continue reapplying until all the detergent has been used up. To totally remove the beer or wine smell, you could also sprinkle a carpet freshening power, or use plain baking soda. Put a fan over the affected area, and allow it to dry overnight.
